"contents": "<p>Alcon Entertainment said they were at the very preliminary stages of a “Blade Runner” remake, with director Ridley Scott attached to “any possible new ‘Blade Runner’ films”. The Alcon executive quoted by Variety magazine said they had not hired a writer yet, and were yet to devise a strategy. Hopefully it won’t be a sequel – the cliffhanger ending (as seen on the director’s cut) is one of the highlights of the 1982 classic. And hopefully, they will persuade David Peoples, who co-wrote the screenplay for “Blade Runner”, to pitch in once more.</p>\n<p>Tony Scott is reportedly in talks with Warner Bros to direct a remake of the 1969 western “The Wild Bunch”. The Coen brothers’ direct remake of John Wayne’s only Oscar winner, “True Grit” (with Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon) was very favourably received both by critics and the box office. But before Tony goes Western, he wants to make a film based on the 2002 River Run Riot, in which members of the Hells Angels biker gang fought The Mongols, a rival gang.
