Various civic groups like Black Lives Matter and Workers Movement Unite, stood together to show support for each other and their shared goals.</span>\r\n\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-760092 size-full\" src=\"https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/wp-content/uploads/IMG-20201107-WA0094.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" /> Various organisations were present at election celebrations in New York. Masks were everywhere, but it was clear from people’s eyes that there were only smiles underneath.
