"contents": "<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Thursday, an “intense cold front associated with a steep upper-air trough” hit the western parts of the country, said the South African Weather Service. </span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the weekend the cold front will move to other parts of the country, it said.</span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Thursday, strong to near gale-force northwesterly winds, from 50-60km/h gusting up to 80km/h, were reported in the province.</span>\r\n\r\n<b>Widespread rainfall</b>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Widespread rainfall is also expected over the western parts of the Western Cape on Thursday afternoon.
