"contents": "<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EFF leader Julius Malema is adamant that the presence of armed police and their response to the EFF’s attempt to stage a protest in the chambers undermined the rights of MPs adding that it was unconstitutional. </span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malema was speaking during a briefing held in Cape Town on Friday afternoon. </span>\r\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https://twitter.com/hashtag/EFFPresser?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#EFFPresser</a> EFF leader Julius Malema says the SAPS deployed armed personnel to intimidate MP’s.</p>\r\nHe is briefing the media after EFF MPs were ejected from <a href=\"https://twitter.com/hashtag/SONA2023?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#SONA2023</a> proceedings yesterday evening.\r\n\r\n— Queenin Masuabi (@Queenin_M) <a href=\"https://twitter.com/Queenin_M/status/1623992053561540608?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 10, 2023</a></blockquote>\r\n<script async src=\"https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"></script>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He explained that National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula’s interpretation of Parliamentary rules was flawed and did not warrant the ejection of </span><a href=\"https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2023-02-09-the-first-45-minutes-high-drama-as-eff-members-booted-out-after-trying-to-storm-the-city-hall-stage/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EFF members from the Parliamentary sitting</span></a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
