Grinch of the Year: MK Party, We Shall Not Be Screwed

Grinch of the Year: MK Party, We Shall Not Be Screwed
The people see your dirty hands, uMkhonto Wesizwe party.

In the land of Screwville, down south, where equality is sought,
The MK party has twisted what reconciliation brought.
Launched on a day of healing, now a day of disdain,
Old chess master Zuma’s revenge stirs up the pain.

These looters and losers, a curious crew,
Are the Grinch of Corruption. They’ve left us all feeling blue.
In a quest for revenge that echoes so loud,
They’ve turned hope into anger, inciting the crowd.

John Hlophe, their leader, once a judge in a gown,
Now impeached, leads the charge with a mischievous frown.
“Let’s take back our glory!” he shouts with delight,
While the people of Screwville shake their heads at the sight.

There’s Brian Molefe, once king of the power,
Whose short reign at Eskom turned sour by the hour.
Transnet’s Siyabonga Gama plundered as the people asked, “Why?

With contracts so shady and invoices high.
From disembowelled Prasa, where trains were to zoom,
Came Lucky Montana in a shadowy gloom.
He spent billions and billions on engines too tall.
Derailing the system, he had quite a ball.

And out of the halls of Public Protector shame,
Busisiwe Mkhwebane pranced with no sense of blame.

They’re each earning above a million a year at taxpayers’ cost
While poor people’s pockets are empty and lost.
They lied to the people
who voted out of despair,
Their promises were ruses to get the crooked a chair.

For how can they lead when their hands are so stained?
With corruption and greed that has left many pained.
This Grinch of the story, with a heart made of stone,
Sucked up all the joy, leaving not even one bone  –
“Oh dear!” cry the citizens, “What now can we do?
Our hearts are too heavy; our skies are not blue!”

Deep in their hearts, hope flickers like light,
“Screw the Grinch! It’s high time that we stand up and fight.”

MK is losing, oh yes, ballot by ballot,
The people – gatvol with promises – are wielding a mallet! DM
