- On Tuesday, 26 November, the Constitutional Court heard an EFF and African Transformation Movement (ATM) challenge to the National Assembly’s vote against taking action on the Section 89 independent panel report on the cash-in-couch allegations against President Cyril Ramaphosa.
- The red berets are asking the ConCourt to declare the National Assembly’s decision not to adopt the report irrational and unlawful, and set it aside.
- The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has decided that President Ramaphosa – or anyone else for that matter – will not be prosecuted in relation to the Phala Phala case. The case stems from the criminal complaint laid by the former head of the State Security Agency, Arthur Fraser, in June 2022.
