The Gathering (video, session 8): Pauw, Abedian and Manyi face off over threats to SA

The taps may have run dry in Sandton on Thursday 23 November, 2017, but the conversation flowed at Daily Maverick’s The Gathering, held at the convention centre. The climax of the afternoon was when Sam Mkokeli asked investigative journalist Jacques Pauw, new boss of ANN7 and The New Age Mzwanele Manyi and economist Iraj Abedian to deliberate on the biggest threats facing South Africa. They all agreed that things were not what they should be, but why this was so – and what the solutions were – is when things got really interesting.
