The country’s military shut down the internet months ago, but local news publications have kept information flowing using radio and satellite. </span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amnesty International will broadcast messages of support sent from around the world “to tell the people of Myanmar we have not forgotten about them”. Use the hashtag </span><a href=\"https://twitter.com/search?q=%23MyanmarNeverSilenced\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">#MyanmarNeverSilenced</span></a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on social media to submit your message.</span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unesco will mark the day by recommitting to the </span><a href=\"https://en.unesco.org/news/30th-anniversary-windhoek-declaration\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Windhoek Declaration</span></a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and hosting discussions on information as a public good.
