So if we see him dancing in the next few weeks, does that mean he is cured and can go back to jail? The appalling injustice of people being in jail for the want of money and the crooks go free or to Dubai.

If only Parliament wasn't so incredibly glacial in its approach to every job at hand, there would be space for a flurry of PP complaints against Arthur Fraser (in this instance) and the possibility of a wider review of the Medical Parole system as systemically corrupt and malfeasant. But alas, the only time MPs vote quickly is when it comes to raising their own salaries and perks.

The problem is that there is no competence requirement for entry into parliament, and the integrity standard is extremely low. The result is that we are governed by people who are mostly not very good at anything.

Can't help feeling this rhyme has its place in todays society: There was a crooked man (Jacob Zuma) who walked a crooked mile (We all know the road he has taken to achieve his fame) He found a crooked sixpence (The billions of money used in state capture) Upon a crooked style (South african government and state owned enterprises) He bought a crooked cat (Guptas) which caught a crooked mouse (Should be mice – but really it’s those implicated in the looting of South African assets) And they all lived together in a little crooked house (Under the watchful eye of the ANC)

His release is a bloody national disgrace. Cyril Ramaphosa talks about rooting out corruption but is not walking the walk, so disappointing!
