Washington Post journalist suspended for Twitter hoax

Washington Post journalist suspended for Twitter hoax
The Washington Post's senior sports reporter Mark Wise was suspended after posting a hoax message on Twitter. Wise tweeted on Monday that the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger would be suspended for five games, for his alleged sexual assault of a Georgia college student, before the NFL or anyone had confirmed that the footballer had indeed been sanctioned. For his efforts, Wise himself got suspended for a full month, but issued an apology, saying he had been trying to show that bad journalism is, you know, bad, by posting a deliberate lie on his Twitter account. Wise clearly didn't think this one through, and has more than ruffled a few feathers in the media world.
