ANC NEC: No #Zexit, pressure moves to Treasury

There were two key lines by ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe at the media briefing on Sunday night after a four-day national executive committee (NEC) meeting. Wayde van Niekerk made history on Sunday night, winning gold and smashing the world record in the process. Military commanders attribute the attacks to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a Ugandan rebel group. Monusco, one of the largest United Nations military deployments in history, and with a major presence in Eastern DRC, condemned the attack. Read More

Following a spate of violent protests in Milwaukee, and the shooting of an armed civilian, a tense peace appears to be in place. The protests, concerning police violence, resulted in, well, police violence, against the armed passenger of a vehicle who refused to drop his weapon when asked to by police. The National Guard has now also been placed on standby. Read More
