Ten dead in Darfur clashes



Arab tribal conflict in East Darfur has killed at least 10 people over the weekend. Land ownership and cattle theft proved the focal point of fighting between the Maaliya and Rizeigat tribes. The deaths come as the United Nations prepares to cut its peacekeeping force in the region in half.

Chris Froome sealed his fourth Tour de France title with "conservative, but effective" tactics. And after more than 3,500km and three weeks of pedalling, Froome finally managed to sample the produce with a glass of something sparkling during Sunday's final stage.





 









IMF predicts solid global economic outlook



Growth in China, Europe and Japan appeared to be forging the way ahead for a firm economic outlook, the IMF announced on Sunday. Predicting a global economic growth of 3.5% this year, the gains will be tempered by lowered predictions for the United States and Britain. Nothing good was on the horizon for South Africa, however, with predictions set for increases of 1 to 1.2% over the next year.
