Brent Crude tops $50

The price of Brent Crude from the North Sea crude rose overnight to over $50 a barrel for the first time in 2016. Once Asian markets digested the news, a shortfall in North American crude inventories, largely due to the Canadian wildfires, was given as the primary cause of the increase. Report indicates floppy disks command the nukes

A US watchdog organisation has revealed that many of the country's nuclear systems are run by very old hardware. Floppy disks, Assembly code language and computers from 1976 appear to still operate the command and control features of the United States' nuclear arsenal. In a weird way, resilience through obsolescence is not such a terrible cyber security plan at all. Read more

Depp's wife files for divorce

Amber Heard, Johnny Depp's, wife has filed for divorce. Reports have indicated Heard filed on Monday, citing "irreconcilable differences", less than a week after Deep's mother passed away. Dogs in Australia should surely now be the last priority in Depp's life. Read more
