The report reads as if Madonsela had little time to complete it, which is true. Nonetheless, the creation of a six-month judicial inquiry will open up a closet of horrors within the ANC. And that is something the ruling party can ill afford before 2019.

Alzheimer's drug shows promise



Researchers in the United States have revealed that a new drug to treat Alzheimer's shows promising results. Free of side effects, the drug was highly successful in patients within a 32 person sample. The next stage will see 3,000 patients treated. If successful, a pill could be on the market in the next two to three years.

Faf du Plessis' men are going to have to take the head off the snake sharpish in Perth, because it's venomous. Winning the toss and choosing to bat in the first Test has been as good as it's got so far, after a top-notch opening burst from the Australians.
