Fears of a terrorist attack in South Africa deepened on Monday after the British and Australian governments followed the Americans in issuing warnings of attacks on malls in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Clinton allegedly secures Democratic nomination


According to media reports in the United States, Hillary Clinton has secured enough commitments from delegates to ensure her party's nomination. Bernie Sanders, channeling his best 'grumpy old man' attitude, has insisted this is wrong, and  has placed all his faith in the hope of convincing said 'superdelegates' to vote for him on 25 July at the Democratic Party convention. Read more
















France fearful of Euro 2016 attack


France's President François Hollande has remained cautious about lingering terrorism threats during the month-long Euro 2016 championship. Hollande stressed that France had prepared as much as possible, however, deploying soldiers, paramilitary units and police in preparation for the football tournament. Read more

Forbes Magazine has listed Serena Williams as the highest paid sportswoman. Despite her French Open loss to Garbiñe Muguruza, Williams has overtaken Maria Sharapova by earning $28.9 million over the past 12 months.
