Handri Walters
Handri Walters is a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at Stellenbosch University. Her doctoral research traced the history of anthropological constructions of race at Stellenbosch University read through a set of scientific objects in order to highlight the interstices of race, science and state policy during the pre-apartheid and apartheid period. In addition, her research poses questions about the remnants of racial science and race-thinking in post-apartheid South Africa.
