Olexiy Haran

Dr Olexiy Haran is professor of comparative politics at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (UKMA) and research director at Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation. He was in a delegation of Ukrainian civil society leaders in South Africa from 17 to 21 April to seek support to end the war. The delegation includes Oleksandra Romantsova, executive director of the Centre for Civil Liberties, the human rights NGO awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2022.
