Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza

Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza returned to Rwanda from exile in The Netherlands in 2010 to run as a presidential candidate, but was arrested and sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Rwandan Supreme Court in politically motivated judicial proceedings. She was released in 2018 by presidential grace after eight years of imprisonment.
