British man wanted to kill Trump


A 19-year-old British national has admitted to wanting to shoot and kill Donald Trump at a rally on Saturday. Michael Sandford, who faced charges on Monday, attempted to seize a police officer's gun to kill Trump. For the Orange Menace's Secret Service detail, their jobs can only get harder. Read more
















Bemba to be sentenced


Former Congolese vice president Jean-Pierre Bembais to face sentencing today for a series of rapes and murders committed under his orders. Bemba deployed a private army called the Congolese Liberation Movement (MLC) to the CAR to suppress a rebellion. Read more
















US Senate rejects gun control reform


The Republican-controlled US Senate has rejected four proposed gun control reforms, which largely add increased background checks for individuals wanting to buy firearms. The Republicans appear dead set on rejecting anything threatening what is perceived to be a Second Amendment right. Just days after the Orlando massacre, however, this stubbornness looks particularly idiotic. Read more
















Youngest planet discovered


The youngest planet in our solar system has been discovered. Making the announcement on Monday, astronomers introduced an 11-million-year-old exoplanet, named K2-33b. Making a 5.4-day orbit around its star, the exoplanet could shed light on how rapidly planetary systems can form. Read more
