Elections aftermath: Why did the ANC ignore its own research?

STORY OF THE DAY

State Capture: Quo Vadis ANC?

By MARIANNE THAMM

The DA is preparing to do battle after a motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma – the second this year – was not placed on Parliament’s schedule this week. In March ANC MPs defeated the DA’s first motion. But it is November and the ANC is deeply and publicly divided and wounded. Will the motion force ANC MPs to pick sides and flush out closet Zuma supporters? By MARIANNE THAMM.

Final countdown for America

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have held their final rallies just hours before the US goes to the polls. Both candidates took parting shots at each other during their respective rallies. South Korean president hit with fresh scandal

South Korea's President Park Geun-Hye has faced new resistance from the country's opposition. Pretorius called up for Proteas

Uncapped Dwaine Pretorius has been called up to replace injured Dale Steyn. Entering an injury-wracked Protea squad, Pretorius made his one-day debut earlier this year. Morne Morkel, it seems, has yet to receive a callback from the squad's selectors.

FACT OF THE DAY

Today is the American elections. Just in case you only now emerged from your time capsule.

Hillary Clinton does not know how to use a desktop computer. Before the Trump moonbats get too excited, the Orange Menace also declines to use computers either. Both, however, appear to command godlike powers over Twitter.
